Porcelain is a mixture of feldspar, kaolin and quartz. These minerals are mixed and crushed in a certain proportion. This mixture is then mixed with water and formed into a product with the help of a mold. This raw product (called biscuit) is usually first baked at about 1100°C. Then the product is glazed and fired again at a very high temperature somewhere between 1250 and 1380°C. Porcelain is very strong and suitable for intensive use.
